So, I am still going to Angola but don't think I will be going to Luanda anymore. The commitment of the school fell through so the Public Affairs office at the Embassy had to find another place for me. They had been working on a post in Lubango, in southern Angola, closer to the Namibian border. The school is also called ISCED and is a teacher training institution like the original. They say Lubango is much cheaper, has better weather (cooler), and has better produce. We will see about all that. I am just happy to be going.
As you can see on the map, Luanda, the capital, is on the coast in the North of the country. Lubango is in Huíla province inland a bit, in the south.
